SCES

SCES is one of 13 schools in the state to be selected to present at CapitolTech. During our presentation, the student will share three things. The first is a video that tells our story and why we feel technology is important. The students will demonstrate how we use the Promethean board to teach math. Finally, the students will show the SCES CapitolTech blog, which contains links to websites that we use in our classrooms to enhance math instruction.

This was a fun activity about chemical properties without even going to the science lab!

We have been using Cyberchase as a math center. The students love it. They all want to go to that math center so they can play a game. When they go to the center they go to the blog and click on the link and it takes them straight to the site. They are only allowed to play the game 3 times. Great center activity for 1 student at the time.

Before the Christmas Holidays, we completed our research on Explorers and began putting our information into PowerPoint Presentations to be presented to the class. Because we had done this before, it went much more smoothly this time. The students already had an idea of what and how to create the presentations. Some students are even putting music into their slide shows! I can't wait to share these, I think the students will really enjoy and learn from their classmates presentations.
